The bathroom remodel has finished for the week. The guys cleaned up and left Friday about five-ish. We went to see Lewis Black in Peoria (liked him a lot more than I thought I would) and left them to lock up the house. The bullnose has been mostly installed but the grout work will wait until the tile around the tub has been put up - all the grout will be added in one day. The double slider doors to the linen closet should go up on Monday, the outside designer door has been fitted and is being painted - this door might be the best decision I made on design.
The cardboard has been placed on the floor to protect it while the rest of the work goes on. And even though the bullnose looks like it's a different color than the floor tile, I assure you they are identical. Funny how light plays tricks on you.
This is the area between the painted wall and the cement board around the tub. There is a disparity between the wall thicknesses, the cement board is thinner than the rest of the walls so a cement compound has been used to breach the gap. This room should be done by the end of next week and then they'll start on the downstairs bathroom because we have everything for it and we're still waiting for parts for the master bathroom.
